DOAN - Ethiopia Danche Modified Washed 250g

There are so many roasters in Korea, so I'm always looking for more recommendations for who to bring on. I reached out to @fullarmedsweats on Instagram who is an awesome coffee reviewer in Korea if he had any recommendations for roasters. He recommended a few, and Doan was who he recommended for very light roasts.

Doan has been a multi roaster for a while and has recently started to do in house roasting. The sourcing features a lot of classic washed coffees and their roasting is among the lightest in Korea (something like an EL roast).

Doan (도안) is a prominent specialty coffee brand and multi-roaster platform based in South Korea (with a well-known café location in Suwon) that roasts its own specialty coffee while curating and importing beans from renowned international roasteries.

Started as a single café, Doan evolved into a connective platform bridging the Korean and international coffee scenes. They source, import green coffee directly, operate their own roastery, and feature guest roasters from around the world.

Doan regularly features and imports beans from celebrated Nordic, European, and American specialty roasters (such as Tim Wendelboe, Onyx Coffee Lab, and Heart Coffee) alongside their in-house roasted selections.
